They are among 460 dengue patients warded at the hospital, he said.
The hospital director disclosed these figures at a meeting of the Committee on Dengue Control held at the Kandy Kachcheri yesterday.
The director said a large number of dengue mosquito breeding places are found within the hospital premises.
The concentration of mosquito larvae was found even in the gutters, he said.
Dr.Y.M.N.K.Yapa said there was a dengue epidemic in and around the Kandy Hospital including the Deiyannewela area and the support of all was needed to control the epidemic.
